At least you found a way to make yourself feel superior to everyone else.

If your pillows are stuffed with fluff stuff, then I guess it’s okay to wash often.
Also, the new machines are tricky with filling. Since the tub is open with no agitator, it makes it harder to judge where the water is and they don’t “waste” water, so they use the lowest possible due to sensors.
Easier to take them to a professional cleaners….let them judge, I bet theirs look just the same as ours…..the cobbler’s children have no shoes deal….lol.
Oh, I do wash mine, they are very clean, just yellow. If you don’t like the color, go buy solid white fabric or pillowcases and cover them. Just cut off the old cases……DO NOT open a down or feather pillow, only the stuffed or foam ones and replace old white with new.
You can’t vacuum enough to get all the down.

Top-loading or front-loading machine? I wash pillows seldom because it deteriorates the pillow so much (e.g., lumpy and misshapen).

I wash our pillows just like regular laundry every 2 weeks, so they just stay white and clean..

Thank you for sharing the very good tips about washing pillows. What would the process be for front loading washing machines? Unfortunately, I do not have a top loading washing machine. Once I press on the start button, the machine is locked and there is no way I can open the door again. Please do provide some useful ideas for those who have front loading washing machines.

Thank you very much.

Juhi
