Pallets are heat-treated in the US, so as to avoid use of any chemical in preservation, and are specifically stamped as such.

It’s an immaculate idea. Because this person knows what they are doing and also have knowledge beyond a single focus on-that knowing there are pallets created for different tasks. One would be carrying organic material or for short term use which would then be made from hickory, cedar, or NON-TREATED wood. How one couldn’t deduce a gardener with clear skill though the quality of their plants in these pictures would not be using chemically treated wood to produce these plants.. Think before lashing out, it makes you look ignorant.

What does this have to do with bugs in the garden? Maybe your bad Google search had lead you to several sites with unwanted content and after, here you are. But if you would read the sentence before and after it clearly states in context an obvious reason for assembling the collection of words you deemed completely off point…. Vegetables attract destructive bugs. Those bugs can kill other plants aside from vegetables. Like FLOWERS. The author points out directly that collecting fruits and vegetables becomes and unpleasant experience when you go to grab a cantaloupe and it smushes in your hand only to expose maggot-like larvae in an orange soup you had thought about eating seconds earlier. Container gardens are NOTORIOUS in using them for reducing bugs and separating gardens into sections to limit the amount of plants that a bug or bugs may spread to.also – it’s easier to use net covers with raised garden beds. So please people. I know it’s sooooo easy to act like a complete DICK on the Internet, but try to at least bear a shade of intelligence while doing so because all you are doing is cluttering boards up albeit making for a long period of out loud laughter of disbelief for the rest of us trying to read posts that actually give knowledge that is useful. I’m being a dick but hey – at least I dropped knowledge on you thrips while doing so. *drop mic*

The idea of recycling pallets is a great idea you just have to use your god given common sense. with the pallets it will be a lot easier to net your plants to protect them from bugs. I will definitely be putting this book on my list to read.

However, if you look at the pallet stamp, US and HT should be on there – for made in the US and Heat Treated – I also like to know what my pallet shipped and a bit of background for use in my garden to grow edibles.

I have a printing place that I get mine from so the pallets shipped paper boxes.
