A Tiny Woodland Cottage https://goodshomedesign.com/a-tiny-woodland-cottage/ https://goodshomedesign.com/a-tiny-woodland-cottage/#respond Tue, 12 Apr 2016 22:36:18 +0000 http://goodshomedesign.com/?p=35683 the-birdhouse-treehouse

The woods are full of amazing hidden treasures, just like this next tiny cottage house. Located in Somerset, England the cottage was named Birdhouse Treehouse thanks to its looks. The tiny rounded window that overlooks the front porch, makes this cottage resemble a birdhouse, but once you see the interior you will be taken to a whole new space. Spacious and modern, the interior was designed with taste and attention to details. The house has an L-shaped floor plan and lots of pallets were used in decorating the interior and separating different areas, such as the bedroom, kitchen and living room. The contemporary interior also features the use of soft and pastel colors, so it is in perfect harmony with the fragile and delicate look of the entire cottage.  To learn more about the Birdhouse Treehouse, watch the video (page 2) below and take a look at its beautiful interior space.

The Fairy House https://goodshomedesign.com/the-fairy-house/ https://goodshomedesign.com/the-fairy-house/#comments Wed, 11 Mar 2015 23:56:04 +0000 http://goodshomedesign.com/?p=25956 Fairy-House

Having the most impressive of gardens isn’t just about caring extremely well after your plants. The secret lies in the little details, like decorations. Being extravagant doesn’t always work, so it’s better if you focus your efforts on truly the little of details or decorations. This charming small fairy house is an example of what beauty can be achieved with care and a few creative things, like reusing a couple of different sizes dried birdhouse gourds. The process of making an inspiring fairy home will have to involve some natural objects, pinecones being the one closest at hand. The shingles of the house can be made out of the scales from larger pinecones; a pair of garden clippers can assist you perfectly in this process as well as a hot glue gun, and don’t forget about protective gloves and glasses. Clay and polymer clay will be required for fashioning and modeling the windows and doors. Follow the instructions provided in the tutorial and your garden will surely be on its way to the most impressive prize you seek.

DIY Plastic Bottle Bird House https://goodshomedesign.com/diy-plastic-bottle-bird-house/ https://goodshomedesign.com/diy-plastic-bottle-bird-house/#comments Thu, 20 Mar 2014 20:23:42 +0000 http://goodshomedesign.com/?p=15527 bottle-bird-houses-home-design

If you care about nature, you can not be impressed by the multitude of animals and birds Mother Nature has covered the Earth with. If you are careful about not polluting the environment, you will be considerate about the faith of all the creatures that inhabit it. We propose you an interesting and creative project: make cute little bird houses out of PET bottles. You won’t have a great impact on the interior design of your residence, but you will make sure birds have one in the first place. For this project to be complete, grab the following list of materials:

• some plastic bottles;
• a pair of sharp scissors;
• paint and brush;
• a string of wire;

Start by cutting the PET in halves. The top part will go over the bottom one so feel free to shape the lower side of the top in a more house-like manner; you will want this to be the `roof`. The next step will be to paint the house in a colorful way. Do both pieces and on the inside as well as the outside part. Leave them to dry before actual assembly. Don’t forget to punch a couple of holes in the lid. You will need this in order to put the string of wire through and close the loop so the birds can sit comfortably inside the PET home. Be encouraged to decorate in a lively manner. You now have completed your environment-friendly DIY project. Feel proud!
