How would you like to be able to make your own pizza every time you crave one? With the right recipe and oven, this wish can become reality. You can build a wood fired pizza oven at home that will work just as well as a store bought one. If you love DIY projects and pizza this can be your next backyard project.

There are lots of important things to keep in mind when searching for the perfect materials, such as quality and quantity. Luckily someone tried the project out for you and wrote a very useful article which can be found on the following link. Visit it for the list of materials you are going to need and an awesome step by step tutorial which will make building your wood fired pizza oven a piece of cake.

The entire project cost a bit over $5000. A real investment, certainly. But that includes everything–the pavers, the giant grill unit (Sam’s Club purchase), the oven, the granite work counter, the teak dining set (Craigslist), the stone veneer, the matching herb garden, the fire pit.

“Before I started the project, out of curiosity, I contacted a mason to see how much it would cost to have a wood fired pizza oven built for me. The cost? $17,000 ” says the owner.

How to Build a Pallet Shed https://goodshomedesign.com/how-to-build-a-pallet-shed/ https://goodshomedesign.com/how-to-build-a-pallet-shed/#comments Wed, 05 Jul 2017 17:12:00 +0000 http://goodshomedesign.com/?p=42481 Instead of throwing away wood pallets, you could repurpose them into something useful, like a shed. A storage space always handy in one’s yard, the shed you raise from a bunch of pallets will not only do good to the environment – with less trees cut down – but will also last for years to come. Not to mention starting with a DIY project like this could improve your building skills.

How to Build a Deck around a Pool https://goodshomedesign.com/how-to-build-a-deck-around-a-pool/ https://goodshomedesign.com/how-to-build-a-deck-around-a-pool/#comments Sat, 15 Apr 2017 00:10:50 +0000 http://goodshomedesign.com/?p=40413

Having your own pool in your yard can be a true blessing. Just think about it how cool it would be to go home after a long and hot summer day, and take a bath in your pool. Pools are usually a big investment, but nowadays the market is full of above ground pools which can be a great and cheaper option. But as anything else that is purchased and installed for the first time, above the ground pools have their own special conditions. For instance, when you want to set up such a pool, always keep in mind that positioning is important. Make sure you have enough space for it and avoid placing the pool under trees, otherwise you will have constantly clean the fallen leaves and bugs from its surface. Also, start preparing the area before installing the pool, as you will need a clean space and preferably a concrete base (you can also use soil or sand). Watch in the video below how to build a deck around a pool..

Here’s a detailed video on how to build a deck around a pool, by Craig Heffernan. We start by digging the holes, building the frame, screwing down the decking, building stairs, a swing gate, and access door, lattice and frame, baluster railing and treating the new wood with my favorite CWF cedar tone color. The deck is built partially around the pool. We used treated lumber on the entire project. We used ACQ approved screws and nails.

After that, getting the wood ready is essential. A couple of 1 by 6 or 2 by 6 lumber board are needed. The, in order to grow an organic garden you will need a mix of vermiculite, peat moss and some compost.

How to Build Your Own Square Foot Garden in 10 Easy Steps

1. Like many things in life, it’s all about location, location, location. When figuring out where to begin to build your garden, look out for an area that receives about 6-8 hours of sunlight, that is clear of trees or shrubs that might interfere, and is not prone to puddles or excess moisture. To improve convenience, meanwhile, you should try to position the garden close to your home.

2. When planning your garden, you must also consider layout. Always think in squares, and specifically, 4 foot by 4 foot squares. If you’re planning on building more than one square foot garden, be sure to plan for aisles so that you can access and tend to your garden without disrupting or destroying the other boxes.
