How would you like to be able to make your own pizza every time you crave one? With the right recipe and oven, this wish can become reality. You can build a wood fired pizza oven at home that will work just as well as a store bought one. If you love DIY projects and pizza this can be your next backyard project.

There are lots of important things to keep in mind when searching for the perfect materials, such as quality and quantity. Luckily someone tried the project out for you and wrote a very useful article which can be found on the following link. Visit it for the list of materials you are going to need and an awesome step by step tutorial which will make building your wood fired pizza oven a piece of cake.

The entire project cost a bit over $5000. A real investment, certainly. But that includes everything–the pavers, the giant grill unit (Sam’s Club purchase), the oven, the granite work counter, the teak dining set (Craigslist), the stone veneer, the matching herb garden, the fire pit.

“Before I started the project, out of curiosity, I contacted a mason to see how much it would cost to have a wood fired pizza oven built for me. The cost? $17,000 ” says the owner.

DIY Portable Wood Fired Pizza Oven And Patio Heater https://goodshomedesign.com/diy-portable-wood-fired-pizza-oven-and-patio-heater/ https://goodshomedesign.com/diy-portable-wood-fired-pizza-oven-and-patio-heater/#comments Fri, 15 Apr 2016 23:29:15 +0000 http://goodshomedesign.com/?p=35757 Pizza-Oven-Patio-Heater-Combo

Who would have thought old propane bottles can be repurposed effectively into stove or cooking equipment for outdoor use. Making a patio heater or a pizza oven is simple when you understand all the workings of the devices. Having a combo of these is awesome! The transition is made easily because the stove pipe fits directly after you lift off the top chamber. In order to finish the DIY project, you will need to grab the following materials and tools: a tall propane tank, steel door hinge, 4″ stove pipe, Old Pizza Stone, a grate, exhaust cement, an oven thermometer, some BBQ & Stove paint, an angle grinder, a drill with hole saws, welder, sledge hammer and plasma cutter if you can get your hands on one. Follow the step-by-step tutorial on the next page and build your own pizza oven and patio heater combo.

Step 1: Cut up the Tank

Step 2: Make the Door

“Draw on the door where and how you want it. Next drill out the corners with a 2″ holesaw, and connect the dots with the angle grinder to get your door opening. Cut your door out of the leftover metal, being sure to make it a little oversize, especially on the width. For example, if you made an 8×10″ door opening, cut a 9×12″ door (HxW). Take your door hinge and edge weld it to the edge of your door.”

Step 3: Make the Flue

How to Build Your Own Pizza Oven https://goodshomedesign.com/how-to-build-your-own-pizza-oven/ https://goodshomedesign.com/how-to-build-your-own-pizza-oven/#comments Wed, 15 Apr 2015 02:10:06 +0000 http://goodshomedesign.com/?p=27439 pizza-oven-tutorial

Eating pizza is not an unhealthy habit, and definitely not an obscene one like many would like to suggest. The benefits and hazards of eating pizza depends a lot on what ingredients has the pizza you’re going to consume for lunch or dinner. But besides all of this debate, there is the simple pleasure of making your own pizza and eating it with your family and friends. For this result to be the best, a pizza oven will definitely prove quite useful. Building your own pizza oven might seem like a great challenge at first, but when you see how a DIY project like this is completed, you will be eager to try it in your own yard. In similarity with bread-making ovens, this type of construction is designed and built with materials that are resistant to fire.

To begin with, you must know that the amounts suggested may vary according to what size you want the oven to be. First, create the base with the help of the pallet. Mix one part cement with two parts sharp sand and four parts aggregate and pour it in the wooden pallet mould with the spade. Flatten the surface via a long wooden baton.
