Do you like pistachio? Next time you eat these nuts, don’t throw out the shells in the garbage as you can reuse them for a cute little craft. Luckily, someone already tried out this craft and it turned out great. The name of the project is Pista shell bird wall decoration and that is exactly what you’ll get as an end result, a funky wall decoration with birds made out of pistachio shells. Sounds cool, right? What you’ll have to do first is to wash the shells to clean all remaining salt. Leave them on a piece of newspaper to dry and then you can paint each shell the way you like. Let the paint dry and then you can start painting a small tree on your wall (anywhere you like) and then use glue to fix each shell in place. Don’t forget about the finishing touches to make the birds look complete and decorate each branch with an elegant flower. The result is truly beautiful!
Very innovative and beautiful!!!!

What did you use for the beaks?
Hi, I’m not the creator of this but it looks like the beaks are painted on the wall.
I love this! It’s the perfect remedy to the drab walls I just moved into. Thank you for sharing!
It looks is fantastic want to see more
.
What did you do for beak?
It looks as if the beaks are just painted on, like the branches and twigs.
This is the first time I’ve heard of Goods Home Design I checked out several things and they are quite creative I look forward to seeing more.
beautiful, Fantastic, I loved it.
So pretty! What kind of paint did you use?
What is used for beak and what type of color for birds
Can’t wait to try this?
Too cute!! And now i’m in the mood
for pistachios!
@Ros,
I use acrylic paint – the
small bottles are inexpensive so
you can buy a bunch of colors.
I’m sure other paints would work too-
(like Tempera) but might need a sealer.
@Sharon,
The beaks looks like they’re
painted directly on the wall.
add:
I’m thinking about trying to make a small
free-standing one…using the whole nut,
& cut the tip off of a wooden skewer
(paint black & glue on) for the beak.
Muy original y bonito
Very creative and just loved it…. I would definitely try in my children’s room…
Yes, what did you use for the Beaks???
Decoration is beautiful but the quality of the wall painting is lower than poor
There always has to be one (rolls eyes) 🙁

Beautiful. I love it. I wi8ll make. Thank you so much.
I would cut the tiny beaks out of stiff felt and glue on and magic marker the eye,unless you want to spend for the mini eyes at craft dept. This is just my suggestion.
Beautiful I tried v interesting
Look out for the weevils moving in ? I would be tempted to do this in a frame so it could be moved or removed without having to redecorate if I got fed up with it. Good project though
