Shimmering “Dragon Eggs” Reveal Faraway Landscapes Within Resin and Wood

If space art is your thing and you love searching for online pictures featuring faraway galaxies, then the work of Ben from Ben’s Worx will surely stimulate your imagination.
He is an Australian artist, creating the most beautiful galaxies encapsulated in shiny dragon egg sculptures and they are made out of wood and resin. His works are inspired by cosmic events and astronomical developments, such as the recent landing by NASA’s Perseverance Mars Rover. Ben sculpts each piece of art carefully, using burl wood, and the natural formations in the timber look like mountains and out of this planet landscapes. He then adds layers of glitter and colorful ink to recreate the otherwordly images and when finishing his sculptures, he puts them in plastic cups and covers them in resin.
When the dragon egg sculptures are dry, he cuts away the plastic, revealing an entire ecosystem encapsulated in a tiny egg sculpture. If you would like to take a closer look at his collection and even order a piece from Ben’s Worx, head to his Etsy webshop and place your order right away. These are available in the link below…
