What they are selling is the handmade item – altho at the end of page 4 they are selling the soles to make your own with. I agree, those prices are more than what I would pay, I can make them myself thank you.
If you (or honestly anyone talented enough to do so) really are one of those very talented individuals who can look at a photo then turn it into an affordable pattern than PLEASE, I literally beg of you to share your wisdom so that the average person can make these themselves for their loved ones, or even themselves, rather than spend basically $100 buying each pair?..
I know it would mean the world to me, and I’m sure, many others! I am re-learning crocheting (as well as pretty much everything else from feeding myself, writing, reading, walking and tons more) after a life altering accident that included 3 breaks in my neck, frontal and temporal lobe brain injuries, and at least 100 other broken bones… It has taken me 7 years to get this far, but I still have quite a ways to go. I miss being able to crochet with ease so am reacquainting myself with simple projects and working my way up again and slippers like the ones pictured above. Personally the ones I would love to learn how to make are the super girly, cute, lacy ones in photo #2, or the fabulously warm looking ones (minus the leaves and flowers, which I would also love to be able to make but maybe for another project…lol) in photo #3, the more fitted version of some of the others in photo #5 (again without the very cute little crocheted balls, but I would still LOVE to learn how to make those little balls as they are a more finished look than traditional pom poms and I can think of tons of ways to use them on other projects, even this, just not quite so many,..lol),, and last but far from least are the adorable little greyish blue coloured, double strapped cross over closure look bootie slippers, would be all amazing patterns to work my way up to…
The very idea of maybe being able to make any or all of these for family and close friends by Christmas 2015 would be mind boggling to me, and I am certain would be just as much, or even more so to all those who have watched me regain old loved hobbies, with learning it the second time around even harder because of having to always get past how easy these things used to be for me to learn, yet now relearning them has been incredibly harder with the roadblocks left behind by the scar tissue from the head injuries or whatever that makes learning so much harder now, but I am seven years into my rehab now and intend to continue to pursue everything I loved doing and lost so I can then work on learning things I always wanted to, but have been thrown off track temporarily as I beat all the odds going from a quadriplegic to a woman who walks with a cane and pursues everyday in getting back what I once too hugely for granted! 🙂
So if anyone should create a pattern for any or all of these, even if the patterns are not free, please message me via FB as I would truly love to have these be my next major goal! Thank you in advance to anyone who even attempts figuring these out! <3
I’ve had so very many requests to design slipper booties for adults and now I’ve finally done it! This is my very first design of a Crochet Adult Slipper Bootie so over time I will perfect them but for now this one is what we’ve got so far. This bootie will fit a 5 to 6.5 size foot. I’ve only tested this size so far. To test making larger sizes, use a larger hook than a 6.5mm hook and chunky yarn, only crochet up the sole first and measure it against the bottom of the foot. If the sole is the right size and fits your foot then follow on with the rest of the patttern to make your slipper booties.
Materials Required
1 ball of Red Heart Super Saver Chunky Yarn, color: White
1 ball of Red Heart Super Saver Chunky Yarn, color: Tea Leaf
6.5mm crochet hook

Are there pattern PDF’s for these boots for sale somewhere or can you only purchase the finished crochet boots?
Just find a pattern for a bootie and when you get to the ankle,keep crocheting up as long as you want the boot to be. Find patterns for flowers or other embellishments and add those,too. If you want the sole for outside, Google where to buy them. If you don’t crochet,Knot Addicted on Facebook can make similar ones for $25+shipping and tax.
