Here’s a great recycle project, but is better to scrape & paint them. Did you decide on building a fence but aren’t quite sure what design to choose and how the final result will look? How about these fences made out of old doors? Old wooden doors can be turned into useful and quite nice-looking fences.

Remarkable. This would make a nice windbreak or snow barrier for a chicken pen or other animals living outside.
How are the doors anchored so that they don’t blow over? Will they eventually rot and if so, how is one door then replaced in the row?
Cool. How do you attach doors to each other?
Excellent idea about using the doors!! We should ALWAYS consider recycling first. Sometimes it isn’t possible, but my hats off to you all!! God bless
Don’t do it! It’s an epic fail, the doors fall apart, rot out after awhile and it looks like a crack fence. Tried it, now I’m replacing my fence. Lol
I think that is very cool. I would never have thought would even work, using doors for a fence. Great idea.
You are basically promoting an easy way of lead poisoning for the whole household and the neighbours! “but is better to scrape & paint them”- have you heard of lead safe decoration practices?
1/2 Doors….I have a 4 lb Chihuahua! lol
I love new ways of recycling things! Great idea ❤
Great idea. I love it!
How do you fasten them into the ground to keep them standing up??? I know, it’s probably a dumb question!!
I love these! I hope to one day have the door fence. Then our Labradoodle could be outside and no worries of her jumping the fence.
So Beautiful I Dream of Having my Own Place so I could do things like this!

Don’t scrape them, that’s where all the character is! Maybe a couple coats of clear poly to protect them, but NOTHING else!
Love the ‘door’ fence. So many possibilities.
They use a post in between each one and attach it with brackets to the door and post.
I have your picture and I will publish it and use it as I see fit.
