A cake will always win you sympathy from guests or friends you welcome into your home. Especially when you put in the effort to prepare something nice. With this chocolate filled cake, you will have no problem in getting into people’s heart (and stomachs). To make this delicious dessert, start by preparing the cake, for which you will need:
• a 26 cm cake tin;
• cooking knife;
• a small spoon;
• 3 eggs;
• a cup of powdered sugar;
• half a cup of vegetable oil;
• half a coup of milk;
• a cup and a half of flour;
• a pack and a half of baking powder;
• a tablespoon of vanilla extract;
• (optional) half a cup and 2 tablespoons of corn starch;
Take a deep bowl and whisk the eggs and sugar for a bit. Then, put in the necessary amount of oil, milk, flour, corn starch, and finally add the baking powder and vanilla. Mix until it makes a nice dough. Leave to rest for an hour or so. Next, pour it into a greased cake tin, but make sure you mold it in the shape shown in the pictures. For this, use something in the middle of the tine and pour around it. Cook in a preheated oven to 160 degrees until it gets a nice brown color.
Leave to cool for a while and then cut the top off the cake. Careful because you will need this piece intact further on! Now, take the small spoon and scoop some of the inside to make room for the filling. Meanwhile, prepare the chocolate mixture filling. You will need to mix in a bowl: a tablespoon of flour, one tablespoon of corn starch, one cup of granulated sugar, 2 and a half cups of milk, 1 pack of cocoa powder, and 80 grams of dark chocolate. Pour it in the cake and then put the top back on. Place in the fridge for 30 minutes. Decorate with some 50 g of melted chocolate and nice chocolate flakes. Enjoy!
Any chance you can translate “pack and a half of baking powder” and “1 pack of cocoa powder” to standard measurements? Thanks!
I also wish to know what a pack measurement equals!
Thanks Lea
