Fireflies are beautiful creatures and their natural light can bring a beautiful spectacle to your garden. But what do you do if you live in an area where these little bugs are quite rare? You make your own little fireflies to keep you entertained on hot summer nights. You can do this by following the instructions from this next project. You will only need some plastic Easter eggs (Kinder Surprise), pipe cleaners, duct tape, a black marker and a LED candle. Place the LED light inside the plastic egg and use glue to fix the legs and the antennas of the bug. Then use a black marker to draw the eyes and the mouth and apply the duct tape to create the wings. Find a place for your little fireflies in your backyard or hide them in the grass and let them light your outdoor space, while you enjoy the breeze of a summer night.

I’m going to make these for Easter, use them like nights lights, put them out with baskets & decorations inside the house.
Thought this would be a fun project for my 4 year old grand-daughter and I to do, I started using Tacky glue for this but it simply wouldn’t hold the pipe cleaners to the egg, not enough “surface to surface”. I switched to a fairly hot glue gun to get them to stay put. All in all a cute idea, a good project and they come out adorable.
How do I get instructions to make these please ?
