Create some magical looking flowers with some nail polish. Surely, every lady has a nice collection of nail polish at home, so this project will be cheap as you don’t need to make a big investment and buy lots of supplies. You will need some crafting wire to create the frame of the flower. Then comes the most exciting step, creating the color of the flowers. This is a rather slow process, so you will need a lot of patience. And the following materials:
• a bunch of bottles of nail polish;
• some strings of wire;
• a couple of wire cutters;
Great idea!!!!!!!!
How does the nail polish stick to the metal and fill in the petals?
good questions I was wondering the same thing
Was wondering that also
Watch the video here. She shows you how to fill in the petal with nail polish.

glue
Cuz of the surface tension, it will just work…
This DIY misses the fact that you need to ‘fill’ the space between the wire with glue first and then you paint the glue. That works very well.
Oh, I can’t wait to try these! I’ve pinned them too.
To fill in petals you need a magic wand to apply the polish 😉
Yeah, how does it stick to fill in?
How do you keep the nail polish from dripping thru the wire of
The petals?

This is a great project for pre-teen girls..younger ones wouldn’t have the patience to wait for production and drying time..:) MIght be smart for Moms to make the flowers ahead and then have a construction session with the girls…I might try this next weekend when my granddaughters are both here
I have made one of these flowers and am now totally hooked, I have made lots of different kinds of flowers but these are the best, thank you

Wish there was a video that shows how to do this. How to bend the wire just right to make the flowers, how to get the nail polish to actually fill in like that, etc.
go to youtube, there are some videos that are really good, unfortunately it is not easy to do in big leaves and petals like the beautiful pink she did. youtube.com/watch?v=LL-iZPALUes
These look lovely thanks for the

I’ve used this method years ago to fix the holes in screens that birds made with their beaks. The flower idea is great!
this are really beautiful, is there a tip to make long leaves, and biger petals…I just did some, but it works in small flowers only.
I watched the video, which someone should tell them to move camera with the hands, couldn’t see some of it. My thought would be dipping wire in polish like you do bubbles. I’m going to try it and see
Would be better if video included, instead of having to go find one !
A bit disappointed that the original content creator is not credited here. 🙁

This is not really a new craft. When I was very young, I remember seeing some older relatives making flowers with wire and dipping them into some kind of plastic material that filled in the wire space and dried ctransparent. I love this twist on it as nail polish comes in so many colors.
Is it fragile?
if make for ring, will it crush easily?
i tried this with the glue but the glue was coming out the back and dripping so i used less and then that was not enough , how can i do this without having to much or to less this is a great idea thank you for sharing

I wonder if this would work with the floated, marbleized polish….maybe let it set up just a few seconds longer than if you’re doing your nails….?
