How would you like to spend your next holiday in futuristic solar-powered floating hotels? This way you can worry less about your holiday leaving a carbon footprint and enjoy more the sun and sea. Pearlsuites is the name of the sci-fi-like project designed by Pierpaolo Lazzarini from Lazzarini Design Studio, and these pods look like they came straight out of a science fiction movie scene.
Each pod floats on the surface of the water and is 100% solar-powered, being able to power not only the floating pod-boats but also the appliances installed on each of them.
The Pearlsuites concept was created for an Italian water mobility company, called Jet Capsule and they aim is to take water travel to a next level, by offering both luxurious and sustainable accommodation.
The concept wants to revolutionize the segment of seaside hospitality but also promote a zero-waste policy in the meantime. The pods would be the ideal way for seaside resorts to offer more accommodation, without having to extend their land property and add an extra experience to their offer.
The Pearlsuites project is only at the level of a concept, but since the hospitality industry is fast expanding, eager travelers will most probably be able to enjoy them soon.
The units are 100% solar-powered, and include the same amenities as a hotel room.
