    All these were great ideas with the exception of one – the folding a letter into a envelope. While you can fold paper into a “folded self mailer” as we at USPS call them, they have to be rectangular in shape and have the proper number and placement of seal tabs. Other wise you will be charged a non-machinable surcharge, which would probably cost you more than just buying some envelope. The folding method shown in video would result in you paying higher postage for the mail piece.

    If you have a cat at home, don’t do the pine essential oil. It can kill your cat, because pine and many other essential oils are toxic to cats. I don’t know if the same is true for dogs, but I would err on the side of caution.
