We love recycling projects so much, because we are fascinated by the process of creating something new and beautiful from an old and seemingly useless object. The beauty lies in the fact that almost every old item can be recycled and the result depends only on us. Instead of gathering more and more waste, which our consumerist society tends to create without pause, why not transform objects and give them a new purpose? The shovel handle bench saddened me. About half are highly collectable in the WWII Jeep circles. Some worth 100’s of $.

The seats would be too hot to sit on in the summer. Under the shade or porch where the sun doesn’t bear down on them.
