Having a house with a spacious garden is great, but the hard part is keeping that garden neat and tidy. If you have a garden then you most probably have also some garden pathways there which help you get around in your green space. But pathways can be used in many different ways, all you have to do is get a little bit creative.
We are going to show you some pictures that we hope will inspire you in redesigning your garden. In case you don’t have a garden pathway, but you are planning to build one, we advice you to be as creative as possible and you won’t go wrong. You can make your pathway out of different materials, from rocks to wood and even bricks. There are a lot of different combinations when it comes to garden alleys, be sure to choose the one you like the most and also fits the style of your home. And last but not least, make sure that when you design the pathway you don’t forget about the flowers and plants in your garden. Create a pathway that will make your plants look good and bring out the nicest colors you have in your garden.

some of them are lovely but I have to say that I will never have loose small rocks in my garden again. Such a pain to maintain!
I agree! Also not good for anyone with a balance problem. Most certainly not handicapped accessible.
#19 would be perfectly fine with anyone elderly, with balance issues, handicapped, whatever, and most of the others would be perfectly fine if the paving stones are properly recessed/leveled and the rocks around them are pressed into concrete rather than loose. It’s not that hard to do it right and still have them elderly/handicapped accessible.
As for wearing high heels, that’s just a stupid question from a yuppy high maintenance big city brat who puts too much importance on the latest fashion trends, frankly. Normal people wear low heels, flats, sandals, work boots, and running shoes… Sensible shoes, not the latest in break-your-ankles stilettos…
Not that I’m a fan of wearing heels in the garden, but I did wonder at how few of these paths would be usable by disabled or elderly people who are less sure on their feet. Pretty, but not practical for everyone, even if it’s just your aged parents who’ve come to visit.
She shouldn’t be in the garden. Unless she is mowing the lawn. What is she doing out of the kitchen.
I never thought about the elderly/disabled. Ure absolutely right. Not good ideas for some. But still love a couple and will probably use one. My mothr just moved in w my older sister in a nother town, so no danger of getting hurt in my yard.
