FAKE – Honey is from Nectar – NOT resins – this guy is a fraud – sprayed his weed with sugar water #fail

    • Ryan you’re the fail! “In fact, all honey is made out of nectar, whereas pollen is used primarily for protein and as food for larvae.”

As an OSU Master Beekeeper AND a medical marijuana grower, I can tell you that bees are only attracted to the sugar syrup sprayed on these plants for the picture. Marijuana produces no nectar or pollen, the two things bees need. This is misleading misinformation.

    • Bees collect resin to make propolis.Female cannabis flowers do not produce nectar which is converted to honey by evaporation. Male cannabis plants produce pollen used to fertilize female flowers. Cannabis is wind pollinated, not insect. Never heard of bees collecting propolis from cannabis but is entirely possible. VERY unlikely they would do so as portrayed in the photos. Looks like a sweetener was applied to the flowers to get the bees attracted

  • @De Davis-Guy This is obviously nonsense, just like your claim that marijuana doesn’t produce pollen. Do some research before claiming to be an expert, you’ll look a lot less ignorant.

I take rhubarb and blend it with sugar water. My reason is for a mite deterrent. The bees seem to love it and i don’t seem to have mite problem. I suppose i could do the same thing with weed. Hmmmmm….seem it would sell too.
