This seems to be built on “skids,” in most areas this allows it to avoid “permanent structure” Zoning, and Code, since if proper infrastructure was used it could be pulled anto a skid, to be moved or by tractor. Thus qualifying it most prefab sheds a “temporary structure.”
There is not any installation and only a window unit AC, However you could installate it with styrofoam, Hemp, fiberglass or any product and use 1by’s for framing up a ceiling over the insulation, and use paneling to cover it. a few solar panels and a ridge to prevent the rain from getting in, which is ignored when its of great importance here.
I am looking to build something exactly like this for year round living. Is it possible for it to be a 4 season home fully insulated and snow load bearing? I live in Southern British Columbia and would love to purchase 2 of these. Thank you for your time. These are amazing. Julie
I dont think your questions can be answered on here. It appears you need to contact Arched cabins in Texas as shown on the above invoice. The phone number is also there.
One of those Mitsubishi units that installs over a door would be perfect for this Quonset hut, I believe. This would be perfect as a guest house, also mother-in-law quarters.
What is recommended for heat / AC?
How is it insulated?
What kind of foundation does it sit on?
