Making pillows out of tee shirts without sewing
I made the same kind of pillow after my Dad passed away. Brother, sister, nephew, niece, son and daughter all have one. Good use of his shirts.
My daughter’s partner passed away unexpectedly recently. He was king of the Dad joke/ band Tshirts and had so many special ones that she came up with a beautiful way to remember him by, crafting them into a quilt for his ten year old daughter to Treasure. It was a very therapeutic, bonding experience as we all contributed to the making of it from the layout, pinning on the templates, cutting of the panels, ironing the seams, joining , quilting and backing. I hope others consider this rather than just throwing away items of significance. It’s amazing how healing this was.
