Do you want to have washcloths at arm’s length in your bathroom? Here is an innovative solution in this respect. Take a look at the photos: what can be better when you don’t have enough space on the floor for a cabinet ? Of course, other solutions can be used as well (such as wall hanging cabinets, like those you see in a hotel), but these are more expensive. But, if you opt for a cheaper solution, try using baskets! They can be exactly what you needed! They can be placed in a vertical position, like the one shown here, or try placing them on any free area: under a sink or in an unused niche. How does it look ? How do we stuck them on the wall,,,,what do we use? Nails?
I love this idea, I do have a question how do I get the baskets to stay in place on the wall…I know I could put them on shelves but this doesn’t seem to be the case in the pics above. Thank you for sharing

Editor’s Note 12/29/11: I could have sworn I stated in this post how I hung the baskets, but after being asked by several people in one week, I realized I didn’t. Shame on me! I simply used nails, and hammered them in through the weave of the baskets. It’s a little tricky to hammer inside a closed space, so in some cases I used the butt of the hammer to push the nail in, where the hammer head could not reach because of the angle. I would have used hooks but the weave was too tight.

Those are cable ties. You can find them at Lowe’s, Home Depot, Wal-Mart ore even Best Buy. You should be able to find them in the hardware section at Wal-Mart; there are different sizes.
Hi, I love this idea, but rather than use nails, I would use the hook & loop velcro from a hardware store so there is no chance of nailing though pipes 🙂 It’s also easy to remove and wont leave holes in the walls. The baskets which are hanging by cable ties would be finished off nicer with a little co-ordinating ribbon to hide the ties.

I hot glued 2 soda pop tabs to the tops of my baskets and put cup hooks into the wall to hold up the baskets for the light weight stuff (washcloths). I also hot glued 2 corks at the bottom so that the baskets would tilt slightly upward and be less likely to spill out – I have grandchildren using these. And I like the idea of using either ribbon (or hemp rope with cool knots) to hang the baskets from the towel rods.
