Same as Edwina i also would like the chess pieces to know where i can buy the chess pieces or get plans and instructions to make them.
Why not have you and your friends become the pieces and let 2 of your friends tell you where to move to.
I’m no wizard, but I would assume googling large chess pieces would be kinda magical.

I found some plastic chess pieces but they weren’t nearly big enough you could make them out of basically anything though Styrofoam or wood or make a mold for concrete or even molten metals with a low melting point like aluminum
I’m wondering the same, but I kinda think I could get inspired looking at finials and spindles and stuff in the hardware store.
