Summer brings a lot of joy in our lives, as we can enjoy fresh air, spend time in nature and have a nice time on our front porch together with our dear ones. But summer also bring those nasty mosquitoes, that can ruin a good time in a few seconds. To avoid this from happening, you can make these DIY mosquito repelling candles with citronella. They are very easy to make and these mason jar candles will look great on your balcony or deck. To make them, you will need: mason jars, citronella torch fuel (here) , lamp wicks (here) and duct tape. Take a look at the images below, to see how the candles are made and make your own mosquito repellent candle.

In the restaurant business we put a small amount of Listerine mouth wash in a small open container like a bottle cap and place it in the area to be protected. Flies don’t like it.
