94-Year-Old Jimmy Carter Is Back To Building Homes For The Poor Just Months After Hip Surgery

The former President and his wife Rosalynn Carter have built 4,300 homes in 14 countries since 1984.

Jimmy Carter, the former US President is a true role model, as at the age of 94 after having a hip surgery he has quickly recovered and got involved in house building projects for the homeless.

Jimmy Carter, who is 94 years old now (2019), has decided to work together with Habitat for Humanity, and together they are building homes for the poor and those in need. His hip surgery last year forced him to take a break, but once he fully recovered he got back on track to contribute to the building of 21 homes in Nashville, Texas.

Jimmy Carter is working together with his wife Rosalynn and they have been volunteering at Habitat for Humanity for 35 years, which is an impressive number. Of course, the process also involves several other volunteers and even the future owners of the homes.
When asked about the recent developments in the country and politics, Carter stated that the Chinese are leading the international scene because they have saved a lot of money instead of funding wars. Instead, they invested in infrastructure and education, which is something the US should focus on too if they want to remain one of the main world powers.
