Hello, please remove the word vegan from this post, as honey is NOT vegan.

    Thank you

Your heart is in the right place, but your aim is off. The Jury is out on honey being Vegan or not. Everyone has a right to their opinion. You may believe honey isnt vegan but there is a large part of the community that believe it is. Myself included. 39 years and counting.

    • Lisa says:

It cracks me up that Honey isn’t vegan, but they will eat the fruits and vegetables that were pollinated by bees and birds. Being a vegan is a choice, figure it out and stop being pains in the ass. Some of us have true allergies.

  2. Jeremiah R. McCarroll says:

The headline says “vegan snack,” but the recipe calls for honey, which is not vegan.

    • Anonymous says:

Honey can be vegan as it is made from the pollen and nectars of plants. enjoy the eye opening information as most of your food is made by nutrient deficient rice based product.

  3. Vegan Friendly says:

ACTUALLY nothing is vegan because plants have feelings too. Stop being annoying vegans.

  4. Renee says:

Looks good! For those who want to make it vegan just use agave.

  5. Emily says:

This recipe isn’t vegan so please remove it from the title. Honey can NOT be vegan as honey is made specifically from enzymes produced by bees. If you’re referring to nectar then that is vegan but honey itself is a specific thing that only bees can make.

  6. Jasmine says:

How is honey not vegan? It’s the most organic thing on Earth. As BEES make it. Y’all are something else. Hahaha

  7. Stuart says:

Honey is made by the pollen in the nectar plants but is a byproduct of the bees. Due to the fact that bees have to be happy to make and produce honey this has become a debait in the vegan world. I myself am not vegan but I do have quite a few vegan friends. I always am up for a new experience and enjoy the food and the information. (if you haven’t tried golden sauce over potato gnocchi you’re missing out) half of them eat honey half of them don’t because of this controversy. If you are vegan this is a personal choice whether to eat it or not. If you do not switch the honey to agave nectar but boil it down so it’s a little thicker.

I made these with CBD infused coconut oil. I used honey and added a coconut cream CBD infused truffle chocolate to the top….not vegan but wouldn’t be hard to use substitutes. very tasty

  9. RLuss says:

For goodness sakes vegan commenters, plants are pollinated by bees so you better stop eating plant based foods.

  10. Sidney Rice says:

Honey is not vegan, but it is vegetarian. It’s an animal byproduct. That’s not an opinion, that is fact.
