The season for garden parties is approaching and this means you will have to start searching for new and interesting recipes. The ideal party foods are those that are light and easy to eat, so you can also do this both by standing and sitting at a table, The great thing about the food at garden parties is the fact that you have a lot of fresh options to choose between as in the summer you can find a lot of vegetables in markets. This next recipe is called spinach lasagna rolls and will be start of your next garden party. The ingredients are:
• one package of lasagna noodles;
• 15 oz of ricotta cheese;
• one cup of shredded mozzarella;
• one quarter cup of parmesan (grated);
• one egg;
• half a package of frozen spinach;
• two and a half cups of tomato sauce (marinara);
• butter;
• salt & pepper;
Boil the noodles by following the instructions on the packaging. When they are done, add cold water and rinse them. Place the frozen spinach in the microwave and after that place it in a large bowl together with the ricotta, the mozzarella, the egg, the parmesan, the salt and the pepper. Combine the ingredients, using a spoon. Take out a casserole that can be placed in the oven and put a bit of butter inside to cover the bottom of it. Place some noodles on your work station and add some sauce on them. Roll the noodles and place them in the casserole. Repeat these steps for all the noodles and pour the marinara sauce over them. Cover the whole thing with a foil and place it in the oven for 30 minutes. Serve with wine and your meal will surely be an unforgettable one.
