Have you ever seen a baby meerkat in real life? If not, now you can have the chance to soon meet those recently born at the Miami Zoo.
But until then, you’ll have to manage with just looking at their pictures posted all over the Internet. Yam Yam is the female meerkat at the Miami Zoo and has been a resident there since 2012.
She was later joined by other fellow meerkats in 2018 and her lonely days seemed to be finally over. But this year on the 18th of January, the meerkat collective got bigger as Yam Yam gave birth to 2 tiny adorable babies and their pictures captured the hearts of visitors on social media. Yam Yam is an excellent mother and takes great care of her babies and is also the first success story of meerkat pups born at the Miami Zoo. You can catch the tiny meerkats on a live cam installed in the Zoo and also watch the lives of other furry inhabitants, such as a fennec fox.
