Love the idea of living off the grid, hidden in the woods somewhere. But used to my space, and must have a basement and garage. At that point, the price is probably x5. That destroys the whole concept of living inexpensively, off the grid.

I agree with you, Lyn. The problem is that once you settle in one place, you also start gathering more and more stuff without even realizing. Maybe in 5 years, you would add more rooms to this one anyway :).
