1970s Volkswagen Beetle Is Transformed Into a Hybrid RV Called a “Super Bugger”

Volkswagen RVs are known to make a good base for DIY transformations, and this next RV is no different. The iconic car first appeared in the 1930s, but the first iterations of this car happened in the 1970s when there was a demand to make it more adaptable.

That’s when the perfect vacation car was born, one that suited both long drives and sleeping in it while on the road. The new car was named the Volkswagen Super Bugger, and it was a half beetle, half camper attached to the front of the car.
Collectors and travelers as well, are looking for this unique car and one such piece was sold at an auction recently.
The one-of-a-kind piece is a custom-made one, that didn’t suffer any changes since 1969 when the frame was made. Having a 1973 Super Beetle engine, this car embodies every nomad’s dream as its interior is also in perfect shape and looks truly retro.
Once you see the Volkswagen’s interior, you’re instantly transported back to the 1970s and are ready to hit the road towards a hippie music festival.
