Mini Trucks in Japan Are Being Transformed Into Enchanting Tiny Gardens

There is a very peculiar competition held every year in Japan by the Federation of Landscape Contractors and it is called the Kei Truck Garden Contest.
It aims to showcase the best small gardens that have been planted inside trucks and it is a space where landscape artists can let their creativity run wild.
The miniature Kei truck is a true icon in Japan’s construction and agriculture industry, and it is used mostly to transport materials from one construction site to the other. But thanks to this unique contest, the vehicles are transformed into tiny gardens on wheels each year and the event attracts a lot of visitors. Most of the designs feature traditional Japanese gardens and local elements, but some stand out with more modern and even 3D constructions.
The contest leaves visitors in awe of the possibilities of landscape design and the artists creating these amazing structures are praised by locals.

Follow the Japan Federation of Landscape Contractor’s website and Facebook page for more details about each design.
