The plates were designed to reduce plastic waste. They are stitched together with fibres from palm leaves and can disintegrate within 28 days in compost. These are all very handsome, but why can we not leave the whole idea of “disposable” behind? The earth never throws anything away. Why do we continue to think that it’s sane for us to do so?
