What we have for you today is a recipe of delicious peanut butter cupcakes. It will take you 1 hour to make them, which includes the preparation process too, and the result will be amazing.
For this recipe you will need:
- 2 cups of flour
- 1 and half cups of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- half teaspoon of baking soda
- half teaspoon of salt
- half cup of shortening
- 1 cup of milk
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 2 eggs
- 2 squares of unsweetened chocolate, which you will melt.
As for the frosting, you will have to prepare:
- 2 cups of creamy peanut butter
- 3/4 cup butter, softened
- 2 cups of confectioners sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 4 tablespoons of milk
- 6 Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups
Start with preheating the oven to about 350 F and spray two pans with cooking spray. Take a large bowl and mix together the flour and the sugar, the baking powder, the soda and the salt. Then mix together the softer ingredients, such as the shortening, the milk and the vanilla. Mix them for about a minute at a low speed. Then just add the eggs and the chocolate and mix again, but now at a medium speed and for two minutes. Pour the mix into pans and bake for 30 minutes. You can do the toothpick test if you are not sure when they are ready. Leave them to rest for 10 minutes, then take them out from the pan and let them cool. This way when you will add the frosting on top it won’t melt down onto the sides of the cupcakes.
Prepare the frosting, by mixing together the peanut butter with the butter until it becomes creamy. Then slowly add the confectioners sugar and mix well. Add some salt and the vanilla extract. Add milk and mix until the frosting has the consistency you want. When ready, you can decorate the cupcakes with Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. Enjoy.1 package of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups Miniatures (optional, only for decoration)
What? I thought this was for the wicked looking cake in the picture, not cupcakes o.O
I thought this was for the cake not cupcakes,n do you make 2 cakes or one?
The recipe says 2 pans – looking at the cake it is 2 round cake pans.
Can you use square pans if you don’t have round pans. I feel you can get more cuts from a square then you can with a round one
This is bull.its not for the cake, its streaming more crap in the background.
I think that is a typo. The recipe is clearly for a cake.
Reeses Peanut Butter Cup CAKE, not Reeses Peanut Butter Cupcakes. It is made using Reeses Peanut Butter Cups, hence the name.
Oh wait, now I see the problem. Oops, my mistake.
You are all idiots!
The recipe is for the cake they didn’t seperate the words peanut butter cup cake, not cupcake If you look at the picture you can see that it’s not a cupcake
Here is what I would do. I would use a devil’s food (or any chocolate cake mix you like) cake mix for the base and just do the icing and peanut butter cup instructions for the icing and decorations.
