Fresh and clean water is still an issue today, although we live in a modern, highly industrialized world. Large parts of the population still don’t have access to clean water, but this innovative product can be a part of the solution. Named Eliodomestico and developed by Gabriele Diamanti, an Italian designer, this is a solar-powered water filter that is made out of accessible materials, such as terracotta and recycled plastic. The Eliodomestico has the capacity to clean 5 liters of water per day with just only a minimum investment of $50, as that’s what it costs to make this product. This is not only a very cheap and efficient way to clean water, but also one that can become available to almost anybody who is in need of drinking water
