101-Year-Old Woman Is Still Working on a Lobster Boat With No Plans To Retire

3,500-Year-Old Unfinished Obelisk Reveals Incredible Engineering of Ancient Egypt

Ancient Egyptian constructions still puzzle today’s architects, as they can’t quite figure out all the techniques used to build those amazing structures. But now the missing pieces of the puzzle are starting to reveal themselves, as a 3,500-year-old unfinished obelisk offers more insight into ancient architecture. The unfinished structure is located in Aswan, Egypt and it was originally planned to measure 137 ft (42 meters) and have a weight of 1,200 tons. Storm Chaser Captures Incredible Footage of Iceland’s Fagradalsfjall Volcano

Brian Emfinger is a photojournalist who loves to chase storms to catch the perfect picture on his camera. To capture this stunning photo, he traveled to Iceland and witnessed the eruption of the Fagradalsfjall volcano.
The volcano has been active since March and Emfinger returned with stunning images after visiting the site. His best picture is the one in which the volcano can be seen erupting from above, creating a large red carpet of flowing hot lava. Gingko trees are easily recognized from their leaves, and a 1,400-year-old ginkgo tree in the Zhongnan Mountain region of China offers a spectacular sight in fall.
